Urgent Physical & Mental Health Checks

Urgent Physical & Mental Health Checks

Our clients can come into our services from some really horrific living situations. And these conditions take a severe toll on their mental and physical health. Once a client comes in to our care, you can fund their urgent health checks by purchasing this service - often, they are life-saving.

These checks are bespoke to each clients needs. On average, they include 1-2-1 mental health assistance, an initial physical health MOT and if necessary, a referral to a substance misuse practitioner. It will also allow clients to be urgently seen by a dentist and optician - sadly, it's often been years since their last check up.

What is Gift Aid?

Donations from UK taxpayers benefit from the government’s Gift Aid scheme. For every £1 donated, we can claim 25p at no additional cost to you.

By agreeing to Gift Aid, you understand that in the unlikely event you pay less income/capital gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all donations in the tax year, it will be your responsibility to pay the difference and you must notify the charity of any changes to my tax status.

Why should I leave a message of support?

Homelessness is a particularly challenging, lonely and dangerous experience for our clients. Making them feel less alone helps them on their journey.

That's why we ask you to leave a message of support with your gift - these messages really do make a huge difference, but they are not compulsory.

About Single Homeless Project

We began in 1975 when a group of six homeless Londoners teamed up to create the change they wanted to see. An end to rough sleeping and the cold, hard floors of warehouses – and a city where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life.

Today, we are the largest homeless charity dedicated to helping Londoners in crisis. Every year, we help nearly 12,000 Londoners to leave homelessness behind, to be seen, to be heard, and find a place to call home.
